KdV equation with ergodic initial data and its related problems

Abstract:The KdV equation has been known to have infinitely many invariants and investigated when initial data are either decaying or periodic. Recently several people have got interested in construction of solutions starting from almost periodic functions. In this talk some results on the construction of solutions to the KdV equation starting from ergodic functions (which especially include almost periodic functions) are presented. Several open problems also are proposed.
